She lives in Massachusetts and is currently teaching at an after school program.
She was a recipient of the silver medal key, gold medal key, Best in Traditional Painting, and American Visions Award for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards between 2009 and 2012. She earned an Honorable Mention award for the Icreate Art Competition where her piece was displayed in Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT.
Kim also gave art lessons to a group of students for two years between the ages of 6 - 12 year olds at Huaxia Chinese School.
